This Creamy Boursin Cheese Pasta is a rich, garlicky, one-pan baked pasta inspired by the viral baked feta trend. Cherry tomatoes, aromatics, and Boursin Garlic & Fine Herbs roast together into a velvety sauce that coats every bite of pasta. No heavy cream needed—just simple ingredients, big flavor, and minimal prep. Ready in 30–40 minutes and customizable with veggies, proteins, or gluten-free options.

Ingredients

  • Base Ingredients
  • 1 box Boursin Garlic & Fine Herbs 5.2 oz
  • 3 cups cherry tomatoes
  • 1 small red onion or 1 shallot sliced
  • 2 –3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning or ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 oz pasta penne, fusilli, ziti, rigatoni, or any short shape
  • ¼ –½ cup grated Parmesan
  • ½ cup reserved pasta water
  • Optional: 1–2 cups baby spinach or kale
  • Optional Add-Ins
  • Zucchini mushrooms, or cooked chicken
  • Swap Boursin with herbed feta goat cheese, or cream cheese
  • Gluten-free or chickpea pasta alternative
  • Dairy-free Boursin Trader Joe’s

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (for faster roasting) or 350°F (for gentler roasting).
  • Assemble Baking Dish
  • Place the Boursin cheese block in the center of a 9×9 or 9×13 baking dish. Surround it with cherry tomatoes and sliced onion/shallot.
  • Season
  • Drizzle everything with olive oil. Add Italian seasoning or red pepper flakes, plus salt and pepper.
  • Roast
  • Roast for 30 minutes at 400°F or 35 minutes at 350°F until tomatoes soften and burst.
  • Cook Pasta
  • While roasting, boil salted water. Cook pasta to al dente.
  • IMPORTANT: Reserve ½ cup pasta water before draining.
  • Make the Sauce
  • Remove dish from oven. Mash the tomatoes into the melted Boursin to create a creamy sauce.
  • Combine
  • Add cooked pasta and grated Parmesan. Pour in pasta water little by little (¼ cup at a time) until glossy and smooth.
  • Add Greens (Optional)
  • Fold in spinach or kale until wilted.
  • Adjust Seasoning
  • Taste and adjust salt, pepper, or chili flakes. Finish with more Parmesan and fresh herbs.

Notes

Always save pasta water — it emulsifies the sauce.
Use short pasta shapes for maximum sauce cling.
For deeper tomato flavor, roast at 400°F.
Add proteins (chicken, shrimp) or veggies (mushrooms, zucchini).
For dairy-free: use Trader Joe’s dairy-free Boursin.
To fix a thick or grainy sauce, add hot pasta water until smooth.
